just another unmissable jack reacher thiller . a must read.

Echo Burning was first published in 2001 and was the fifth book in the Jack Reacher series. Once again Reacher goes from strength to strength. There is great drama, pace, brilliant use of language that draws you in. The reader is hooked from beginning to end. Reacher is wandering through the heat of a Texas summer. Reacher has just left his motel room via the window as the police seem intent on arresting him. He is hitchhiking to get him as far away as possible. He is picked up by a woman driving her car towards her home in Echo County. In the course of the drive Reacher is propositioned by the woman asking that he protect her from her husband who is about to be released from prison, he was incarcerated for tax fraud. Al Eugene, an attorney at law, is on the interstate on the way home, he has just cut a deal to get his client out of prison. He is pulled over by the FBI, who led him away from his care and then they execute him in cold blood. They hide the body and also head towards Echo County. As Reacher gets closer to Echo County he has decided to help Carmen Green out. Assassins are heading towards their destination. When Reacher gets to the Red House, he butts heads with the Grear family and the workers. It looks like it is going to end in tears for someone, just that it is not going to be Reacher. Once again Reacher is kicking ass and taking names of all those stupid enough to take him on. Once again Lee Child has written an excellent thriller which keeps you hooked throughout.
