“Probably The Best In The Series.”
(Paperback)
A love it or hate it series. As someone who read the books before the films I can say that it is one of those cases where the books are better, but even then they’re not someone truly amazing that I would go out of my way to read a hundred times over.
Personally, I found this to be the best in the series. There is more to this than the others, so much so that I wasn’t as put off by the writing style as I had been with the other ones. There are still the clichés within it that are present throughout the other books, but this one certainly puts more forward than the others.
“what is the fuss about?”
(Paperback)
It was ok, but certainly not worthy of all the fuss!
“I'd hoped for more”
(Paperback)
This book wasn't too bad, but the part I missed the most was the fight between the Olympic Coven/Wolves and the Seattle Newborn Army. I didn't like the way we only saw what was happening from Edward's descriptions and would've preferred the fight between him and Victioria to have happened in the field as opposed to at the edge where a cliff meets a forest where the only action we see is two vampires fliying around each other and a wolf biting bits of a newborn.
“Eclipse”
(Paperback)
Again much better than the first one in my opinion, more interesting storyline and thoroughly engrossing. Well written apart from the somewhat occasional cheesey cliche. Looking forward to reading the next one.
“Eclipse”
(Paperback)
I've given this poor rating not because the book was badly written but because of how the story unfolds. It completely distroys the romance and love between Edward and Bella. The whole Jacob story and the relevalation of Bella's feelings is totally un-romantic. I was utterly dissapointed but will keep on reading. Maybe the fourth book with set things straight. Meyer said that Jacob's character was so inspiring that she had to give him more credit in the next book....really not looking forward to that. I'd much rather read about Edward and Bella...The first book was definitely the best one.
