“Hilarious graphic novel”
(Hardback)
by Jill Jemmett
Elsie, a vampire, meets Jimmy, a werewolf, at a bar one night. They instantly hit it off, sharing their unconventional lifestyles. Jimmy helps her stay away from the sun while Elsie looks after him in his wolf form. They have a hilarious relationship, filled with jokes about blood and dogs. This is such a clever graphic novel. There were so many jokes about vampires and werewolves. Jimmy overheard Elsie saying that she likes dogs, which makes him start talking to her. Elsie would joke about the ex boyfriends she killed. It was often dark humour but it was very funny. Some of the jokes were in the illustrations. Jimmy was tempted to chase squirrels when they went out for walks. Elsie couldn’t see her reflection in the mirror while getting dressed. These were the realistic parts of day to day life that a vampire or werewolf would deal with if they were real. I loved this clever and funny graphic novel! Thank you Andrews McMeel Publishing for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
“Cute and funny”

This was a super cute and very funny quick read. Simple yet somehow dramatic illustrations and the one liners were hilarious. I’ll now be searching out other books by this author and illustrator.
“A couple of monsters in love”
(Hardback)
by Rachel - Newbury
A really cute collection of snippets about the relationship between Jimmy, a werewolf (not a husky!) and Elsie, a vampire. Full of surprisingly realistic and relatable scenes from their day to day life, this is an excellent choice for fans of paranormal fantasy and graphic novels alike. I have not read any of the author's previous work, but I will definitely be checking it out, and I am hoping we will soon get a few full length stories from this adorable couple of monsters! I received an advanced copy from the publisher in exchange for a honest review.
“Cute and cosy!”
(Hardback)
by Autumn at Newbury
A very sweet supernatural relationship story. I’ve seen some of Sarah Andersen’s previous work here and there, but I wasn’t expecting such clean, delicate artwork. A light slice-of-life romance for fans of What We Do In The Shadows, Mooncakes, or BBC’s Being Human. I received a NetGalley copy in exchange for an honest review.
