Reviews: Full-Body Flexibility (1)
“Extensive, informative and easy to follow guide to stretching”
(Paperback)
I got the first edition of this book from the library and found it so good that I bought a copy. I later lent that copy to a friend and decided to buy this second edition.
It has been updated with even more stretches, to add to the already extensive amount, and several more stretching routines which I found particularly well-thought out, such as focusing on different body areas or structuring the routines so that you start standing and finish with lying stretches as a nice way to wind down.
The authors stretching methodology and 3-step stretch system are clearly set out in a short introduction and the emphasis is on balancing flexibility between different sides of the body and also on developing strength to support the stretching movements so you get a workout as well as taking care of your muscles and supporting tissues.
In my experience there isn't a better stretching book out there.
