A brilliant second instalment in a series for the hunger game fans. A great catch up with Press is and Partridge. Things move on and Partridge returns to the dome. I really enjoyed this and would recommend this series to all those who like d the hunger games and books like those.

There were so many dystopian novels last year but the one that stood out among all of them for me was Pure. I was blown away by the twisted vision of the future, the writing, the characters, everything, so I was excited to read the follow up, Fuse. I really enjoyed this book. Book 2 of a trilogy is usually a tricky one - it's basically an extension of book 1 (which gets to introduce the world and the characters) and the set up for book 3 (so no resolutions, just great big cliff hangers). That said, the writing was as excellent as Pure and I was gripped by the story (a couple of late nights) and I adore the characters just as much as I did after finishing book 1. (In fact I now like El Capitan and Helmud more than Bradwell - how did this happen?!) This is a fantastic follow up to Pure and I will be counting down the days until I can read the final book of the trilogy.
