I have been following this author since I read his first book Getting Out! I was very pleased to find South of the River, because I had not been able to that book down and I was really pleased to another of this author’s books to read. Obviously the fact that he had a career in the secret service makes Bryan’s stories even more captivating , because I know they are based on the truth. He is an excellent writer and his descriptions and characters are really insightful! It all means a book that you will not be able to put down and that is real but has a lot of parts that brought a tear to my eye too.

A friend gave me this book and I was hooked right from the first page. I do read a lot of books about spies and that kind of world but this one was head and shoulders above anything I have read before. I will be keeping my eyes open for anything else from this author.
