I have hardly put it down since it arrived! It is a splendid read, different because the setting of an auctioneer's company is an unusual one and written with deep understanding of a profession of which I have little knowledge. Written in beautiful English, which in itself is a real pleasure to read, the plot has very gripping twists and turns. The author obviously knows his profession well and is clearly very familiar with East Anglia, Oxfordshire and the Netherlands. Consequently the reader is led through interesting and relatively infrequently described literary scenarios. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys a good mystery.
