This tale of racism and gentrification in a ruined United States is an entirely believable view of how life might go in a near-future post-apocalyptic world, and it’s not pretty. It is great reading though, with a non-linear plot that allows the characters’ stories to unfold and wrap around each other in a very satisfying manner.
