This was an amazing book. It was unique and didn't disappoint once. Michael Grant is a brilliant author, he knows how to keep us reading and in suspense. Also, after reading, I couldn't work out or predict anything that will happen, which is a good thing because it leaves you with a lot of questions, most of which probably won't be answered until the final book Light. Overall, an amazing read.

A good book, easy to read, hooking. Some predictable parts, but outweighed massively by the twists and turns.An immersive universe, and good for at least a sequel or three :)

I thought this book was simply brilliant! A really clever and interesting concept surrounded by wonderful characters and an engaging narrative. Sam and his friends, Quinn and Astrid, suddenly find their home town vacant of anyone over the age of fifteen. There are only kids left in Perido Beach and a huge wall circles the entire town, keeping the kids locked inside. Where did the wall come from? Why has everyone over fifteen disappeared? And will Sam, Astrid and Quinn be able to find a way to get everything back to normal? An engaging and adventurous novel by Michael Grant. The first in the series illustrates the brilliance of what is yet to come. Absolutely fantastic!

This is a fantastic start to an amazing series. Perfect for fans of 'The Hunger Games' troilogy, it is thrilling until the last page. Not to be missed - and it'd make a great film!

Gone by Michael Grant is a must read for teens who enjoy adventure and suspense. The premise alone is intriguing; what would life be like without adults? But then mysterious creatures and kids with superhuman abilities are introduced. All this along with a cast of interesting characters make for a very enjoyable read which will keeping you guessing even after the last page. Can't wait to read the rest of the series!
