Reviews: Hello, Darkness (2)
“Its not predictable”
(Paperback)
This Crime combined romance has lots of suspense, twists, reasonable one-liners and dialogue and sizzling chemistry. Not high calibre Crime fiction, but still extremely enjoyable if you're looking for something with action and suspense but also sizzling romance.
Its not predictable
“Hello, Darkness”
(Paperback)
This was a good fast paced suspense thriller with plenty of twists and turns that kept you guessing right until the final pages. The story is not overly complex but the number and variety of characters keeps it interesting. Personally I couldn't really connect that well with Paris, I found her a little self-absorbed (once you get to the end you'll see what I mean) and more concerned about herself, her own thoughts and feelings than anybody elses. I also struggled with Dean and his habit of blaming himself for everything that evers goes wrong, fair enough question whether there's more you could have done but when you come up with nothing, just let it go. However I did like many of the peripheral characters, which made up for the shortfalls in the main characters. I found Curtis particularly amusing and the Judge was very colourful to say the least. Overall not a bad book, would make a good beach read (I read it in a day so you may want to take a few more besides).
