Reviews: Help (2)
“Warm, intimate and very very funny”
(Hardback)
Simon Amstell is known for his confessional and uncomfortable style and this book has both of those things and yet so much more. It's a wonderfully warm, tender read that has many laugh-out-loud moments. I was lucky enough to get a review copy and absolutely loved it.
“I thought I had anxieties! ”
(Hardback)
I was lucky enough to receive a proof edition of this book. I always found Simon Amstell funny and slightly sarcastic (in a good way) from his days on Pop world and Buzzcocks but after seeing a stand-up of his on the telly realised he had now headed down a route quite different. He seemed to have had problems, he had struggled but was happy to talk about it. What we have with Help is a very honest, interesting and at times amusing memoir.
