I loved this book! After a few more serious ones I needed something fun and lighthearted and this was perfect, I blitzed through it so quickly. The characters were great, Roxie is everything I wish I was and makes me want to start self defense training. Grant was great too, sucker for a bit of a nerd getting dragged out of his comfort zone. This book had me laughing out loud throughout, this is so good for a debut and I'm excited to read more from Kate Eberle!

Thoroughly enjoyed this mix of rom com/thriller, where the main character finds herself within the story of a book. Very well thought out and kept me gripped throughout. Highly recommended. I was lucky enough to read an advance copy and leave this review voluntarily.

If Books Could Kill blends romance and thriller elements so effortlessly that I was hooked from the very first chapter. The concept is brilliantly original and completely addictive.Roxie was such a fun protagonist to follow. As a romance reader who suddenly finds herself navigating a world that feels very different from the stories she loves, she is relatable, funny and impossible not to root for. Grant was another standout for me; awkward, intelligent and wonderfully endearing.What I loved most was how cleverly Kate Eberle blurred the line between fiction and reality. I never quite knew who to trust, and the side characters kept me second-guessing everything right until the end.The pacing was excellent, the humour landed perfectly, and every twist had me desperate to keep reading. It is rare that I come across a book that feels this unique whilst still being so much fun.A clever, chaotic and incredibly entertaining read. I will absolutely be buying a finished copy when it is released.Highly recommend!
