I have just finished reading this book. On the night before Christmas Eve, I was in Waterstone's trying to choose a new book. I chose two books and because it was a 2 for 3 offer I decided to try "Inkheart" considering the movie had just been released. I finished it yesterday. It was one of the best books I have ever read, it was thoroughly gripping and it had a thrilling plot. I have now got to buy "Inkspell" and the newly released "Inkdeath". Well done Funke.

I love this book so much. It's like nothing you've ever read before, and although it can be slightly over-descriptive in places, I still love it and it's on my all-time favourite book list, along with The Chronicles Of Ancient Darkness and the Twilight books. It's amazing - the first time I read it I was about 8, and I fell in love with it and I must have read it at least twenty times since, even though for an 8-year-old the description is pretty advanced (I guess I just concentrated on the plot and not decoding the intricate detail)I hope you read it, because it's a one-in-a-million book and you really won't regret it. If you love books, that is, I really don't think it's that suitable for anyone new to reading loads as they just won't understand and connect with the characters. It's a book about book-lovers, written by a book-lover, intended for book-lovers. I guess thats why it's perfect for me!Libby, Age 13
