Reviews: Inkheart (19)
“Speechless”
(Paperback)
This book is just amazing. My friend told me i should read it, when i started i wasn't so eager to read it but when i finished the first chapter i was amazed how good it was. The start of this book is like the action in others, and it gets even better.
This book does not need pictures for you to imagine it clearly in your head, it has that much beautifully wrote detail.
Inkheart has two BIG surprises in it that you would never expect which make it an even more interesting book.
The first book is great for anyone aged 10 plus it's even great for adults.
When you read it a first time you will definitely read it again.
“Inkheart”
(Paperback)
I found this book amazing! I love reading books and read quickly but take everything in. I got this for christmas and after reading Noughts and Crosses, i read it straight away. I love the idea that you could get stuck in a book by a silver tongue reading it. This is one of my favourite books. My favourite character is dust finger, the intresting fire man scars and a jokers costume. He has such an wierd past and just wants to get back in his book, even though he knows he will die.The plan to stop the shadow and Capricorn is so good and well thought, not soppy or flimsy like some story endings. I'm going to read the next two, i'm buying them tomorrow. So all you readers buy Inkheart and the other two books (Ink Spell and Ink Death ) in the trilogy!!!ThankyouZoe Lambert 10 in march.
“A legendary novel”
(Paperback)
'Inkheart' is probably one of my most favourite books of all time, if not my favourite book of all time. A thrilling fantasy that has a new twist on every page - Funke's rich storytelling alent and the explosion of the story make this book totally unputdownable.
About a young girl who's mother mysteriously disappeared when she was very young and a father who's never read aloud to her since - this amazing book has you either biting your nails in suspense or sweeping you away with it's genius. It is later revealed that her father (Mo, or Mortimer) can, when reading aloud, bring characters from the pages into flesh and blood - and it's OK when he brings out minor things like red silk cloaks and fairies, but when he reads out an evil tyrant with a thirst for blood, it's another story.
This book is an epic rush that will really blow you away - recommended to anyone who loves a thrill, and a good lot of magic!
“Adventurous”
(Paperback)
When I saw the movie to this book it made me think how much different the book is from the film. But reading this book made me want to go to that world or at leastr thing that people these days are actually able to bring storybook characters out of the book and into our world! Can't wait to start the next book. :)
“A book for book lovers”
(Paperback)
Imagine if everything you read could come to life. Amazing right? Well, no, not really. Not when it comes at a price. You see, for everything that comes from the book, something else must return to it.
Meggie and her father Mo both love books, but Mo has not read aloud to her since her mother disappeared. When a mysteriously stranger named Dustfinger shows up with a warning for Mo, it is time for Meggie to learn the truth.
This is a fantastic multi-layered book, about characters from another book inside this book but outside their own book. Make sense? Trust me, it will. A true book for book lovers featuring an incredibly imaginative story, and interspersed at the beginning of every chapter with quotes from other amazing books.
