This book was published right on time for me...and I wasn't disappointed. I had just discovered Kurt Jacksns work while browsing artstuff on the web and looked at his site. It was as if I was looking at a real free spirit really getting into the guts of his work...the energy of the man is infectious...I knew he would e showing in Scotland in May 2011 but wanted to hae some other access t his work other than on-screen and to get to know a bit more about him and his work. The book was a christmas gift and I have devoured not just the images but the excellent essays and commentaries....at the age of 64 and just getting back into painting full time it was the starter/ooster I needed. For anyone tired of landscape painting and the predicable images of contemporary work this is the antidote to boredom.
