“The Last Human”
(Paperback)
I wasn't overly enamored with this book as it seems a little forced and changes so much from the original TV series that things all get a little confused, particularly with regard to Kochanski who ends up stealing lines from other characters (with sometimes disastrous consequences). Naylor has managed to keep a lot of the original humour, which is great, and Lister is his usual curry loving self but the rest of the story is a bit of a let down and can't be saved by the crew (no matter how hard they/Naylor tries). Worth reading just to round off the saga but not the most memorable and the inconsistencies are surprisingly irksome.
