Reviews: Lethal Force (2)
“Brilliant”
(Hardback)
Brilliantly insight to the dangers that armed Plice Officers put themselves into to protect members of the public. In my opinion the author of this book should never have been prosecuted for his actions, he was only doing his job. Highly recommended read.
“My first read in a long time”
(Hardback)
I really have struggled to read a good book for quite some time. I did follow the stories of Tony in the papers during his work and greatly admired what he did. So when I found he had a book it was a must buy for me.
It was extremely well written and informative it gives a good insight into the life and career of the 'equaliser' I did enjoy the twists and turns and reading his own side of the incidents he was involved in where many Newspapers had blackballed later in his career. It was factual and filled with adventure, and the details left me reveling in the weapons and tactics used, and how he always was such a high class professional. It is also a good history of many major crimes that happened in London.
For anyone looking to read something similar I would recommend 'The Good Guys Wear Black' by Steve Collins which was written in the late 90's but features Tony and his operations of that era and many other characters in this book such as Synex and the Cat.
