An outstanding read by an underestimated author John Robb, who was there from the very beginning. I thought I knew everything about Oasis but it turned out I knew very little. Little by little. The songs, album tracks, B sides are efficiently broken down and reviewed perfectly. The thing I found most interesting was the album art designs and how the people involved came around to the ideas. It's something I think that can get overlooked by authors but not John. The details are in the book and more! If your a fan of Oasis and you don't own a book and only want to own one book, it better be this book.

What I liked the most was how the albums art came about, from the people around and how and why these aspects were chosen. It is something that I feel can be forgotten by authors but not John. Everything is in there! If your an Oasis fan and you don't own a book and only want to own one book, it better be this book. 100%.

As someone who was there the first time round, I was really excited to receive a copy of this from the publisher and couldn’t wait to get stuck in and relive my youth! It’s safe to say, it lived up to my expectations. I particularly liked the description of Champagne Supernova as a ‘generational anthem’. Even if Noel didn’t know what the lyrics were about, he believed they meant something different to everyone. Whether you’re a fan of Oasis or not, there’s no escaping this global phenomenon. Robb knows his onions and describes both the highs and the lows of the turbulent journey this band has been on so far. This has widespread appeal for both fans old and new. If you’re like me and want to take trip down memory lane, back to 90s Britpop (including THAT battle), or even if you’re new to the Gallagher brothers, this is definitely worth reading.

I got this for my Husband who is a massive fan. He loves it. It has so many facts in it that you think you should know and yet don't. Which means you learn something new every time you read it.
