Reviews: Lockdown (37)
“Lockdown!”
(Paperback)
by Anne Clark
I love Peter May's writing and he didn't disappoint. However, perhaps because it was early in our own lockdown, and although I am very glad I read it, and it confirmed my respect and admiration of Peter May's ability, it was just too close to reality for me at that time and I found it rather disturbing. It is a very good read and one I certainly recommend but timing might be prudent in when you choose read it!
“How did he foresee this”
(Paperback)
by Simon Davis
Extraordinarily prescient story. Amazing that 15 years ago the author was able to foresee to a degree what we are now enduring ! Combined with a good & gripping "who done it & why" Thoroughly enjoyable all the way through.
“Lockdown Close the Door”
(Paperback)
by Paul Stoddard
A story in the Pandemic climate is to state the obvious to close for comfort but gives the reader an insight how lack of knowledge which we unknowlingly push to the back of our minds in the hope we can escape a deadly virus which appears like a surreal sci fi movie , in reality has everybody dangling and attacks from every angle . Definitely worth a read
“Book lover”
(Paperback)
by Heather Kirkland
Interesting read but not all night page turner. I read varied books so my star rating fair.
“Unbelievable”
(Paperback)
by christine vaughan
I quite liked the book, especially as we have been in lockdown, thankfully not quite like this. But you never know. Some of the story was rather too far fetched especially Pinkie’s demise. Could have been better .
