Narrated by a young girl in an unusual and unique prose-poetry format about a young local girl’s drowning. The short, sharp sentences punctuate the character’s guilt, reckless behaviour and their dysfunctional lives. I would highly recommend this interesting dark and compulsive poem of a novel.

This was an interesting read and i really liked the writing style used. Steinberg explored some important themes in this and they were all handled beautifully. This book went a couple of places i didn't expect it to but i still enjoyed it overall. I would pick up more by this author as I really enjoyed this one!
