Stunning conclusion to a series that rocked from book 1 to book 9. Devon Monk remained true to her characters and true to the world she created throughout the entirety of the Allie Beckstrom series. I re-read the first six books before reading the finally mini-arc of books 7-9 - and I just couldn't put the books down. I loved everything about the Magic filled (infested) Portland these novels were based in. Using Magic really does extract a toll on the user and that is demonstrably true in 'Magic for A Price'. This action-packed finale does pull at your heartstrings and leaves you with answers to many of the questions, but also wanting more. psssttt... I believe there may just be a spin-off series with Shame... !
