So confusing. Bought for a science project to learn how they actually work. They somehow 'stick' to some things - mostly metals from what I can tell - without glue! I don't believe in magic, but seriously, any ideas?

A gift from Santa that was beyond disappointing, cheap, tacky and magnets don't work properly. Should have realised from the lack of weight but cheapest plastic. More to the point the "magnets" are merely small nuggets within the plastic and the poles don't demonstrate the principles of magnetic attraction and opposition. Some poles even attract one another. Avoid at all cost!

Useless for teaching kids how magnets actually work. Made out of very cheap feeling plastic, with magnets inside. Rip off unfortunately

So disappointing. These look like real magnets but they are very small magnets in plastic cases and incredibly weak. You can stick them north pole to north pole (at the sides) because the small magnets inside have their south poles very close to their north pole, with a separate magnet at the opposite pole of the plastic housing. While not technically faulty, they are so disappointing I will be trying to return them.
