I was not familiar with the poems of Ted Walker until this recent selection was published. What a fantastically inventive and thought-provoking poet he is. Of all the selection, the one entitled 'Easter Poem' - from the 1965 anthology ''Fox on a Barn Door' - has been the most stirring, and, indeed, troubling. It goes so well with Steve Turner's poem on the same subject.
