Excellent read, almost a fairy tale for adults

This is great fun. Monkey and his magical powers, adventures towards India (after being trapped under a mountain for a mere 500 years) with Tripitaka, a young Buddhist priest and his other companions. Monkey is in turns hilarious and terrifying and there is always a new fight around every corner. There is nothing quite like this.
