Othello Has married his wife Desdemona in this tragedy Lago was at set the score right as he has a grudge on Othello by telling Othello a web of lies But realises the truth when it is too late!

I made the decision to study this at university so my review may not be the same as those who've been introduced to it at A-level or secondary school. If Shakespeare understands villains, than Othello is the seed of evil. Paranoia, domestic violence and murder warnings apply. The hero Othello is not so heroic, his friends not so friendly - lying behind eachothers backs. Many a character like Iago or Othello can claim to be a 'victim' of jealousy. Ultimately, this read will make you see vices differently. Good and evil aren't so separated and that is how Shakespeare's tradegy pictures deception in an ambiguous state of distrust.

well made book, space to annotate clearly, currently studying with it for my English Literature A level. helpful pre made annotations too

A good read, it would be nice watching it in performance.
