“Pants”
(Paperback)
This book is fabulous! Our son did not stop laughing all the way through the book. 'Pants' is basically a celebration of pants in all shapes and sizes (and no pants at all!). This book shows that sometimes you don't need a wild and wacky idea for a kids book. Just good old fashioned toilet humour will do. The text is rhythmic and the pictures are bright and engaging. If you can, buy the book that comes with the CD by Lenny Henry. He sings the book in different styles (reggae pants, folk pants, rock pants, disco pants etc) and is perfect. If I could give this book a 6 star rating I would. Go out and buy it and relish the fact that as a grown adult you can indulge in this brilliant sense of humour with your child with no guilt attached!
“Just pure genius”
(Paperback)
I love, love, love this book. It is so easy to read aloud with its catchy rhythm, the colourful pictures perfectly complement the text, and it is really, really silly. It's joy is infectious, 'Pants' is perfect for any child, young or old.
“Lots of Pants!”
(Board book)
My 18 month old loved the bold colours and pictures. There are a lot of animals to name but at the moment the patterns are a bit beyond her.
We like the 'No pants at all' page as we call her brother the boy running around his name.
My first foray into Nick Sharratt, I feel I will introduce it again in a couple of months time as she is a little overwhelmed by the amount happening on the page. Should think it great for 2 yr olds.
