Loads of fantastic ideas to help your entertainment go with a swing - from intimate dinners to perfect picnics and cocktail ideas. A witty and genuinely useful book.
“Proper, sensible, real food!! With style!”
(Hardback)
by Theresa Linee at Elgin
I love this book so much! It has sensible, realistic recipes that are delicious and look impressively rustic. Not just fantastic recipes - it makes great reading as Felicity Cloake has noted down all you need to do to host a successful 'do' - from afternoon tea, to a dinner party for a dozen. This is the only book you'll need, great tips like how to brew the perfect tea and 'setting the scene', I have a feeling my copy will soon become dog-eared from use!
“Interesting recipes and good tips”
(Hardback)
by Abby at Uxbridge
If you are anything like me, you like the idea of cooking but mostly don't have the time to spend hours in the kitchen preparing elaborate meals. If so, then this book is for you! I particularly liked the "Food without a fuss" section, and for when I have more time the "Cooking to impress". Both sections have tailored recipes for different Seasons, which I thought was a nice touch. Flicking through the book, there are a number of recipes that interest you enough to try them e.g. how to make digestive biscuits, tortilla chips and crumpets. I particularly enjoyed making crumpets at home and they tasted much better than the shop bought ones! Overall, this was an easy read with the author’s style of writing pulling you in. Recommended.

This book is full of wonderful ideas and recipes that would make any occasion that bit more amazing! It includes all aspects of entertainment, from breakfast to teatime, from vegetarian to child-friendly meals. And it covers all times of year, from the summer with picnics and barbecues, to winter with Christmas and Halloween ideas. It's perfect for getting ideas and making plans for what otherwise might be stressful times!
