I have always maintained that retellings are fanfiction. This is absolutely the case with Gavin's interpretation of the classic Peter and the Wolf story. It's obvious that he is a huge fan. The illustrations are haunting and the story is one of hope and kindness. I enjoyed it very much.

This is a utterly beautiful reimagining of the classic story. The illustrations overflow with emotions and the twist was inspired. I really can’t recommend it enough.
