Reviews: Prophecies (2)
“Written in the stars...”
(Hardback)
This book has managed the lofty task of being both insightful and well researched, whilst also being an incredibly beautiful volume to own and display on a coffee table. The book goes in to an impressive amount of historical depth regarding its subject matters (and it covers everything from tarot to seances to religious mystics to dice divination), and is also lavishly illustrated with full-page full-colour illustrations and photographs, of the quality that Thames & Hudson are so highly regarded for.
As a result, this book works wonders from whatever angle you'd like to approach it - whether your intention is to read it from cover to cover to improve your knowledge, or whether you'd prefer to dip in and out to explore the beautiful imagery.
“I predict you are going to love this book”
(Hardback)
Beautifully bound and full colour throughout, ‘Prophecies’ is a quality publication with broader information compared to publishers similar to Thames and Hudson in the stunning coffee table book market. It feels almost like a museum in a book – knowledgeable and trustworthy.
Covering ancient divination to modern interpretation from cultures worldwide. Delving into the ever-human question of what will happen next?
‘Prophecies’ would make an ideal gift for those interested in the weird, social history and storytelling.
I would like to thank the publisher for supplying me with a free copy of ‘Prophecies’ in exchange for an honest review.
