Reviews: Psycho (4)
“WOW”
(Paperback)
Normally I'm not the reading type, but this book blew me away, you get each persons perspective on everything that happens, a lot of twists and turns, it all creeps up on you and then boom its there, a very good read! I now want to read more of Robert Bloch's stuff.
“SHOCKER”
(Paperback)
If you haven't watched Hitchcock's masterpiece of a film the rest of us know you really ought to, and the same goes for reading the novel if only to see how a genius filmmaker adapted the original story, which is as quietly sickening today as it was when first published in the 1950s. Chilling.
“Better than I thought!”
(Paperback)
After buying two books, both of which were not up to standard, I bought Psycho by Robert Bloch with little expectations. To my surprise, not only is this a fast-paced book, which I like, but also it was MUCH better than I had anticipated.
I would definitely recommend this to any horror fan.
“Sends a shiver down the spine”
(Paperback)
This is the book that inspired the Hitchcock movie and deserves your attention.
Moving at breakneck speed, the slow creeping chills turn into something worse as the terrifying conclusion slams into the reader like a freight train.
Wonderfully written, and gripping from the first chapter, this puts many modern novels to shame.
