Reviews: Raindrops (3)
“Visually gorgeous and incredibly heartwarming”
(Paperback)
This is an absolutely beautiful book which offers children and the adults in their lives the oportunity to consider how they would celebrate the people who mean the most to them. It also demonstrates the lengths to which we might go to ensure that people know we care about them. And all the while this is simply a gorgeously presented book which tells a story full of adventure that we can all relate to.
“A charming and beautiful picture book that will bring a smile to your face.”
(Paperback)
Mouse has a parcel that contains a special gift and is walking home when suddenly raindrops appear. What starts as small drops suddenly turns into wild weather, as Mouse struggles to get home and keep the present dry we are taken on a whirlwind adventure. Will Mouse get home and will the parcel stay safe?
A beautifully illustrated book that is a visual delight, I loved joining Mouse on their adventure to deliver the parcel safely and the heartwarming message of caring for others which is central to the story. The children I’ve read it too loved the adventure and message and quickly asked to read it again – always a great sign!
As no character is identified beyond smaller/bigger mouse this is a book that is universal and can be read between any types of family units or can be gifted at occasions such as both Mother’s Day or Father’s Day as a story of loving and caring for family. A delightful book and I’m excited for what Robin Boyden creates next.
“Beautiful”
(Paperback)
This is just a beautiful story with beautiful illustrations, simple but so effective! Absolutely loved it!
