Reviews: Relentless (15)
“Relentless”
(Paperback)
It's a very easy book to get drawn into and it races along nicely... I just felt a little let down by the ending, as I felt that there were a few unanswered questions... a very good read nonetheless!
“Relentless”
(Paperback)
I am somebody else who couldn't put the book down once I'd started to read it. However I was puzzled as to why the Merrons weren't pursued after getting out through the window into the forest but apart from that a rivetting read. I shall undoubtedly be reading his other novels
“Relentless”
(Paperback)
Am I the only one to give it a so-so review? I'm not a immense fan of crime fiction to start with, but the writing was incredibly lazy and the characters either irritating or two dimensional. On the other hand, it did hook me in until the end, so the plot itself is not unexciting, and it just managed to keep me interested. It was quite fun in the end.Overall, a poorly written book, although absolutely perfect for those long, lazy summer days or tedious journeys!
“Not as good as his others”
(Paperback)
I was really excited to read this book as it sounded excellent and had brilliant reviews, which i think may be the reason behind why I was so let down by it. Ive also found that his books need to be read in order. I was really frustrated about the relationship between the main character and his wife and felt some questions havent been solved. I would still recommend this book however as it is still a good read.
“awful!”
(Paperback)
I'm sorry but I can not recommend this at all. I liked the plot but it was wasted. Very lazy, lightweight writing and I would not buy another of his books on the strength of it. To anyone who thought this was good please try anything by either of the Connellys, James Lee Burke or Nesbo. Alternatively next to Kernick on the shelf is an excellent writer called J A Kerley, now he is good.
