took me longer to read than normal but that's because life, I enjoyed the stories .. Remember my Name is a Modern Thriller, there were several stories inbuilt into the main plot and this built upon the complexity of both the story and the characters, the female characters was really powerful which I liked I was hooked from the first sentence, I was left wanting more: "If she'd turned her phone off, instead of realising he hadn’t hung up and listening in, perhaps nobody would have died." Cressida hears her husband speaking to a lady only known as Nina, and it appears to be a typical 'domestic ' narrative. Cressida's is worried that this isn't the first time Laurence has been 'unfaithful'. He's good looking, well-heeled, well-dressed, and a smooth talker. This time, though, she is determined to uncover the truth. It was a slow burn and was very captivating ana I was hooked till the end

Plot twist after plot twist indeed. It is bad enough being cheated on, but to have your partner involved with shady dealings on top of that, not only is that dangerous, it's deadly - as proven in this psychological thriller. It had so many twists and turns, I could barely contain myself as i started each new chapter. If you want excitement and darkness, this book is for you! If Cressida did not get involved by trying to find out what was going on, someone's life may not have had to end... Once that happened her daughter as well as herself were placed in grave danger. This book has very mafia style kind of vibes as you read it. She should not have got Brioni O'Brien involved, but now she has.... She eill have to face the consequences of her actions. How can you escape someone that knows your every move? Never delve into more than you want to know...

A great story that was full of mystery and intrigue!. Laurence Howard is a bit of a cut throat character who gets to be too greedy. This set off a chain of events that affects his family and friends in all the wrong ways. You cou!d say almost deadly..... This book deserved all of it's five stars and I look forward to reading a lot more from Sam Blake! I had the pleasure of reading The Dark Room by Sam Blake previously and I loved the story and the writing style. I therefore had high hopes for this as well. The book certainly didn't disappoint. I liked the book synopsis and was intrigued as to where the story would take you. Typical suburban problems start, wealthy business man always at work and wife begins to suspect an affair. Nothing too surprising but the book takes a suprising turn and tells the story from the wronged wife and the friend she hired to investigate her husband to gain a speedy divorce. The main female characters are the main focus as we hear from their perspective and they definitely live up to the image of the strong female lead. The story is clever as it doesn't rely on the domestic area as the business side are also delved into. At times the book does get a little confusing as it jumps around but worth sticking with it as it is a great story.

I was looking forward to Remember My Name so was delighted to receive my copy. I really liked the style of writing with the multiple points of view. I found it to be quite a fast paced read without too much time spend with any particular character. It didn't take too long to get up to speed with who everyone was and their role within the story and I found that it moved quickly from introducing the reader and setting the scene into the more meaty elements of the story. I liked the Irish setting and thought it worked well as a background. I felt like I was kept on my toes as a reader with twists and changes in direction that I wasn't really expecting so my attention was easily held right to the end. I would be interested in reading more from Sam Blake particularly if her other books are written in a similar stye. A good choice for thriller fans in my opinion.
