Although it starts a little slow, I really enjoyed this thrilling novel. After the first half, the pace begins to pick up, and the speed of events is so exciting, I couldn't put this book down! The main female characters, Cressida, Brioni and Emily-Jane, are all super smart in their own way. We immediately feel for Cressida and the issues she is facing with her husband, introduced in the very beginning and are on tenterhooks throughout. I also enjoyed the references towards current events, working to really cement the novel as a current read. The pacing is excellent, the chapters shortening towards the end to really increase the tension. I stayed up past midnight to finish this because I was so hooked! There were a number of twists and turns that caught me by surprise, and I usually see twists coming! I'll definitely be on the lookout for more by Sam Blake.

Before reading this book I was sceptical, purely because I have never been interested in any type of mystery/ thriller books however 3 days after opening WOW I am glad I read. Right from the beginning I was interested to see what events would unfold and I wondered which phone call lead to somebody being killed. I think because of this phrase you are able to get through the first section ( which doesn’t reveal much) but as soon as I began to understand this phenomenal book I quickly became hooked and wanted to know more. As you read further into the book, you will find more of the plot uncovered whilst discovering more about the character’s personalities and lives. You also go through a rollercoaster of dramatic twists and turns throughout this book. What I especially like about this book is that it all comes together at the end. In the final stages you begin to see all the peices fit together perfectly for the ‘mystery’ to be solved. An easy read which is impossible to put down; I would definitely recommend.

this psychological thriller is one of those books where afterwards when you finish the book you put the book down and you cannot help but to sit and stare at a wall contemplating how amazing and thrilling the book is. it had mr hooked from the very first sentence and i loved every bit of it. the unexpected plot twists led the book to be so good. this genre of psychological thriller isn’t my usual go to book genre because i usually go for a romantic heart pounding book and i wasn’t expecting to love it as much as i do when my mother gave it to me and insisted i read it. this book has lead me to extend my genres and reach for psychological thrillers just as much as romances. The only thing i will say is i was missing a romantic element although i know the book isn’t about that i had hoped there would be a small element of romance which would make the book a 5 star for me.

If she had turned off her phone, instead of listening in, maybe no one would have died. This tag line drew me in from the start. I was intrigued from that line. This is a good, fast paced thriller which is a real page turner. When Cressida overheard her husband and realised that he was having an affair she hired private detective Brioni O’Brien to collect information for a divorce. Remember my Name had me guessing right until the end. There is a thread around Cressida ‘s daughter Emily Jane which ties in well. From the outset it becomes obvious that Laurence is doing more than just cheating, he appears to be heavily involved in a blackmail plot. This leads to his involvement in some very dubious characters. Remember my Name kept me guessing. The characters were all believable, all having chapters with their part in the story. Although I thought several times that I had worked it out, I was kept guessing until the end.

Remember my name is a gripping read that can be read as a stand-alone although Brioni is a recurring character. Cressida is sure her husband is cheating on her but needs proof in order to secure a good divorce settlement. She calls on Brioni to help her get the proof she needs. If you have read Sam Blake’s previous book you will remember Brioni, but if you haven’t it won’t stop you enjoying this one. Brioni is a cyber-whizz who helps Cressida hack into her husband’s systems to get evidence. What they find is way more than they were bargaining for! The stakes are quickly raised as is the body count. Laurence’s secrets are one by one revealed. As well as everyone else’s! This book has great characters and really good pace, it kept my interest and had enough subplots to keep the pages turning. A great read. I would give this 4.5 stars. A great read.
