Ellinor Rask has been after vengeance for the death of her husband, Misho, for 8 years, but now she has a problem. She has been grabbed and taken back to her old boss. He has a job for her that he won’t let her refuse. And to do it, she has had her powers stripped from her by a piece of biotech that wont come off until she completes her mission. Sounds easy, but it’s not. This is a really good start to CE Claytons new Eerden novel featuring Ellinor and her old team. We get enough background to make it interesting, and this is fast paced and well written enough to keep you hooked to the end. The characters are well rounded, you don’t know who all the bad guys are to start with, and the twists are surprising, which is always good. I look forward to the next instalment.
