…..the historical Scot, the account, prompted me to read after seeing Liam Neeson depicting his character on film. Though not from Scotland, I have loved visiting since my late teens, a cousin shepherding with his dog Skye, to taking my elderly mother on the canal to go over the Falkirk Wherl, hiring our own canal day-boat from the Linlithgow Canal Society (we are still members), enjoying the single malts, the Jacobite Steam train, the distilleries. I even purchase Rob Roy tartan wool fabric years ago. Looking forward to sinking into this read.
