So funny and amusing. A very relaxing read.

I read quite a few of the rumpole books. The characters are very good and the books consist mainly of short stories. The writing is good, although I did find myself struggling with a story I reread recently. Finding it harder to get into than when I read these books originally in the late eighties and early nineties. The plots were good though and I did like these books all those years ago. They were clever, funny tales filled with good characters.
