This book is a great read for two reasons. 1, it's witty and funny so you'll find it hard not to giggle to yourself one minute and then laugh out loud the next. And 2. It's a good insight to the world of travel that gives you a taste from your armchair and may indeed drive you to seeing for yourself.

Insightful and funny,the author manages to convey the excitement that leads up to each new adventure with wit and humour.I fully recomend this book to anyone with the slightest desire to travel and experience this amazing world.It also fits neatly into a side pocket on a rucksack and is robust enough to have chillies chopped on it!!

This is a great book! You actually feel as though you're travelling with the author who describes the countries and her experiences in a fantastic way. This book has made me laugh and giggle out loud, gasp in surprise and horror and even cry. The way the book is written really pulls you in so you feel as though you're there with the author and it totally inspires you to want to travel yourself. I can't recommend this book highly enough. A very insightful and happy read - buy it!

Travel with the author to strange and unusual destinations. Off the beaten track would be an apt title except that the book does include more mainstream countries that have had the authors treatment.Funny and insightfull, the reader is taken along on expeditions,holidays,cultural exchange visits and all manner of trips abroad that give a real sense of the excitement that grips the author as a new adventure is about to start.
