“Perfect Book for Classic Horror Fans”
(Hardback)
by Kirsty Tonge at Waterstones Trafford Centre
This is the perfect read for classic slasher horror film fans. It definitely took me back to the days of Halloween and Friday the13th. A group of school kids who used to be part of a horror film club reenacting their local horror film "Slasher" have come back together after 4yrs apart and decide to stay are the Slasher cabin in Cedar Lake before it is torn down. But in true horror style, things start going wrong from the moment the sun goes down. The lights cut out, the home phone is dead and they are in the middle of no where. They are starting to believe that the masked killer Slasher is on the loose and after them. Are they paranoid? Or have this group come home to meet their gruesome end. I really enjoyed this book for all the nostalgia it brought for horror fans. I am someone who watches the classics all year around, so it was so much fun to read this type of horror, trying to guess who could be trying to kill them and if anyone will survive. Thank you Penguin for the proof copy of this, I love the VHS cover style so much.

Wonderful. A brilliant homage to slasher flicks, equally scary and funny. The tension builds perfectly and it's not easy to figure out who the slasher is. Loved that all the characters were named after horror films characters too, even a van! ?Lots of fun and I definitely want to read more by this author
