Another superb book in the Thursday Next series. Jasper Fforde has created such a fantastical world that I don’t want to leave it. I’ve read all the books in the series so far and have enjoyed each one more than the last. Bringing the fictional world into the real world, and having the best (and sometimes worst) written villains face off against the greatest literary detective of all time hasn’t failed to keep me entertained and on the edge of my seat. So many characters to love and loathe! P.S no inducements from the Toast Marketing Board were received in exchange for this review.

Bringing Hamlet into the real world doesn’t go well. Nor does saving the world with time-travelling dads and a cloned Shakespeare. But Thursday’s got it covered. More or less. Four stars—gleefully bizarre and packed with wordplay, but it’s the emotional punch that lingers.
