Both my daughters recommended this to me. So I took the risk. Well written. Tense thriller. Highly recommended.

Sophie McKenzie is by far one of my favourite children's authors and this book is the perfect example of why she is so fantastic at what she does. The story was exciting and engaging and so well written that when I looked at the news I half expected the political parties from this book to be mentioned! "Split Second" combines romance, drama, action and thrills to create an amazing story that has left me dying to read the next one! I really recommend that if you haven't already read something by Sophie McKenzie then you DEFINITELY should!

Thought provoking and gripping ! Sophie Mckenzie does it again with another fantastic book . When teenagers Nat and Charlie are caught up in a terrorist bomb attack at a London market they share something in common .Months later getting to know each other and still grieving Charlie starts to wonder if Nat might know more about the tragedy than he is telling her .. A really excellent gripping book

Split Second is an excellent young adult thriller set in a near-future London, where austerity measures have been extended to the nth degree and where extremist groups are popping up on every street corner.
