I was looking forward to this book. It's based on the scripts (well some of them, those written by the author) of the short lived but very enjoyable 1980's science fiction police show. The show was very good with a strong cast and well written stories. Unfortunately the novel isn't great. Chris Boucher has written adaptations of his own scripts for the show but although the stories are good his writing let's this down somewhat. It's okay but nowhere near as good as I'd expected.
