“Stayed in my Heart Forever”
(Paperback)
by laughoutloudlolage
I really don't know how to put this book into words, the characters, plot, heart and soul of the book have stayed with me long since I put it down. This book is what really got me into reading, and I should give my thanks to the author and her team for writing and publishing it I guess. I found out from this book that you really can be transported into other worlds with books and this book does that perfectly, for the hours I read it in, I was Gemma and her overwhelming emotions that were vividly throughout the contents of the book. If you need a good read to distract you from anything at all, this book will do that for you, please try this book at least, it will live and 'Stay in your Heart Forever'....

“Encaptivating”
(Paperback)

Stolen has a very original story line. it's also unlike anything you hear about kidnappings on the news or in real life. Ty has a heart, he has reasons for doing what he did and he only cares for Jemma. It would be a beautiful story if it wasn't so disturbing. -SPOILERS- I love the flashbacks of Jemmas earlier life we're taken to and Ty's influence on it. How we find out his reasons for taking her at a steady pace. You start to develop feelings for both characters. Hurt for Jemma having been taken from her family to what is the middle of nowhere. Sorrow for Ty when you find out his childhood story, what made him the way he is. I'm not going to deny that the ending of the book left me in tears. It's a book that I can go back to time and time again and I will still feel the same instense emotion when I reach the end. It leaves you in pieces feeling hollow with them being split apart. It's written as a diary from Jemma to Ty after she's free of him. I think it's very cleverly written showing Jemmas progression of trust for Ty and how much their relationship changes. Overall it's a brilliant book that I wholeheartedly recommend.

I remember reading this at my high school library about 5 years ago so vividly. It really got me into reading and I always think back to this book, it just sticks with me. I’m going to buy it to reread it!
“Stolen”
(Paperback)
by Simon Read
I'm not normally a huge reader. I pick up books quite regularly and finish them a month or so later, but there are few instances when I complete a book in one or two sittings. Stolen was just one of those times. It was incredible! There is so much to recommend this book for I don't really know where to start. It's an incredibly well-written debut novel. The majority of the book is built around just two characters in the remotest of landscapes but rather than being a drawback, is one of its great strengths. The characters are immaculately drawn so that they never become boring or cliched or unbelievable - instead they evolve throughout the book just like real people do. It's fascinating to read Gemma's mindset slowly shifting around to view the world entirely differently. But then, there's so many gripping action sequences too. Amidst the intricate dialogue and description there are white knuckle jeep rides and escape attempts. And these roll effortlessly into moments of tender, genuine sadness. This is the best book I have read in years. That it is a debut novel makes the feat all the more praiseworthy. A must-have summer read!
