Reviews: STONEHENGE (2)
“Rich in history, beautifully written, and deeply immersive!”
(Paperback)
by Rowan Hales
I just finished Stonehenge: A Prehistoric Murder Mystery and was completely drawn into its world. It’s set over 4,000 years ago, but the characters feel surprisingly relatable—flawed, determined, and caught up in something much bigger than themselves. The murder mystery adds a real sense of urgency, but what really stuck with me was how vividly the book brings the ancient world to life. The descriptions of the landscape are stunning—wild, eerie, and beautiful in a way that makes you feel the weight of history. You can almost hear the wind over the stones and feel the tension in the air. I also appreciated how the story weaves in real archaeological discoveries without ever feeling heavy or textbook-y. It’s super readable, and I found myself flying through chapters unable to put it down. If you like historical fiction that’s immersive but still easy to get into, this one’s definitely worth picking up.
“A gripping read”

A gripping read with many twist and turns. Clearly well researched, underpinned by historical context.
