A humorous take on aspects of our modern world set in a mythical place that reminded me of bits of England from the present and the past. The main character is idiosyncratic and entertaining and his internal machinations are engaging as are the characters he encounters on route to discovering his roots. The conclusion hints at more to come. I hope so.
