Who hasn't imagined having super-powers? In 'Superior' the protagonist doesn't have to dream anymore. He is gifted the abilities of his comic idol and begins to live the life we could only dream about. He becomes the worlds saviour in a matter of days as he masters his new-found powers and freedom. Before long he is forced to make a choice that will test his character and strength of will. This Millar title is far less graphic than 'Nemesis' but is all the better for it. There is still plenty of action and supernatural elements to keep comics enthusiasts happy but there is also a lot more. Superior is an important reminder that nothing in this world is really free and that we have to fight for the things that matter most. A thrilling read from cover to cover and definitely worth your time.
