Reviews: The Da Vinci Code (17)
“His best work, but that's not saying much.”
(Paperback)
Dan Brown will never be known for creating a timeless classic but you have to hand it to the man, he knows how to create a suspenseful thriller.
It loses points for intelligence, obvious red herrings and a twist that people can see coming a mile away (and as others have uncovered, lies).
It gains points for keeping you engrossed and making you not want to put it down.
This fully deserves the average rating I am awarding it.
“Poor thriller”
(Paperback)
Started this book four times and gave up after about 50-150 pages each time. Finally finished it on the fifth attempt. I don't get the fuss. The writing is poor and the plot is nonsense, gleaned from debunked conspiracy theories and a thriller writers pen. Not for me.
