As a One Direction stan, I’ve been reading Anna’s work since the first After book on wattpad was being updated in 2013, and to this day she still doesn’t disappoint! Karina and Kael’s relationship is slow-burn to the max, the plot twists and ending are reminiscent of her earlier works and solid bonus points for the mentions of Harry Styles and Shawn Mendes!! Kael is emotionally unavailable but Karina brings him out of his shell, dealing with his past trauma from his tours as well as having to cope with her twin brother who is all over the place and her dad with his new wife and their weekly dinner's. She's got a good head on her shoulders, business mindset and a tough soul. Todd’s writing is refreshing and brings with it the comfort of her past but this novel shows her progression and i can’t wait for the rest of the brightest stars series!! Anyone who grew up on Todd’s fanfics are in for a treat with The Falling and a quick thank you to Netgalley for letting me read this!!
