“A Fantastic Thriller”

The Forgotten is the second book in the John Puller series by David Baldacci and was first published in 2012. The Forgotten is even better than Zero Day and was really a gripping thriller which the reader will love. Puller has returned from some well deserved R’n’R since his last investigation in Virginia and his father John Puller Senior, a former three-star general is in the VA and slowly shouting the place down as Jnr has been absent. He gives Puller the letter that he has received from his sister in Florida and is tasked with sorting the problem out for his father. When Puller arrives in Paradise Florida, he is informed that his aunt has died and the local police informed him that it was an accidental death. Puller is not so sure and begins an investigation and after digging around he suddenly gains a tail which confirms he is on to something. He has to remember that he is on his own in the middle of Paradise. As Puller looks deeper into his aunt’s death, he seems to have kicked a hornet’s nest and he knows that he cannot trust anyone especially when he discovers a number of crimes that are being committed in Paradise. Puller needs all the help he can get even when it comes from an unexpected direction but when you are in a fight to the death you take all the help you can get. A fantastic read and a stunning thriller.
“Not his best”

Prefer the camel club series. This was more of a lee child style. Although still good. I also rather liked the Bulgarian twist....
