Reviews: The Guilty (1)
“A Good Read”
(Paperback)
The Guilty is the fourth book in the Will Robie series by David Baldacci and was originally published in 2015. While this book gives more context to who Will Robie is there are still plenty of murders on the pages for the reader to delight in.
While Robie is on a job he takes out the target but there is also some collateral damage which leaves a mark on him. He is then informed that his father had been arrested for murder and things are really not going as planned for Robie. When he is back stateside the ‘Blue Man’ insists that Robie takes time out to sort his personal problems out. So under instruction he heads home to Cantrell, Mississippi, a town he left eighteen years ago and not been back too since then. He is worried about having to face his past.
Robie has many surprises when he returns to Cantrell, a stepmother and a brother he knew nothing about. Not everybody is so happy that he is back in town, and they tell him so, he has no intention of leaving town either until he finds out the truth and his father is released from jail.
What we get is a breathtaking thriller with plenty of twists and turns with a pulsating ending. A great read.
